Twilight Posters
The phenomenon known as Twilight is in full
throttle! It seems that wherever you look, there
is something Twilight-related staring back you.
And let us be honest, the Twilight books, Twilight
posters, and Twilight-related memorabilia are
rather addictive.
Twilight: The Phenomenon
So why is Twilight such a phenomenon? After all, it is not the
first series of books or movies based around vampires. The answer is simple:
tweens. Even though the initial target audience was the young teenager,
the books took on a world of their own and their popularity spread to
an older age group, making the transition to the movie screen just a matter
of time.
Of course, with all the attention comes the merchandise. Whether it is
character dolls, clothes, books, stationery and the ever-popular Twilight
posters, the paraphernalia is a big part of the craze.
We all remember when we were younger and our bedrooms and lockers were
plastered with posters. Well, it seems nothing has changed in the modern
bedrooms and lockers around the world, as Twilight posters are all the
rage!
Edward and Bella Posters
The original Twilight movie poster features the main characters, Edward
and Bella, posing close together with the tagline in the upper left hand
corner reading: “When you can live forever, what do you live for?”
The picture is dark and edgy, definitely appropriate for the vampire world.
Moreover, we can see that Edward is very protective of Bella, a good representation
of the key theme in the movie. There are a number of variations to this
original print, portraying Edward and Bella in a slightly different pose,
but diehard fans will always be drawn to the original.
Other Popular Characters
There are Twilight posters which feature other cast members, including
the entire Cullen family and that of the villain vampires. You can also
own a movie poster that features only Edward, only Bella, only Jacob Black,
or even James, one of the bad vampires. Young celebrity photographer Joey
Lawrence photographed the Twilight poster stars.
