Cult Classics

I've always been drawn towards movies that take the viewer into another realm, beyond what we believe to be real. I have film posters of all the cult classics. Vampires are mystical creatures that I find myself drawn to. They are dark elusive beings that hold the key to the underworld.

Although dangerous, Vampires have an appeal of fragility that makes them so fascinating. The very first vampire movie, Frederich Murnaus' "Nosferatu" was made in 1922 and remains a classic. The hunched shadow of Count Orlok's, clawed hand outstretched towards Mina's room is a potent image and the embodiment of a vampire.

The horror and uncertainty that surrounds death and the after-life can either terrify the viewer or captivate their curiosity. There is nothing like the rush of adrenaline when your heart starts to pound and your pulse races. You may want to turn away but the curiosity and intrigue keeps you watching as you feel every hair on your body rise!

Over time vampires have been portrayed as seductive creatures in film. Mortals are seduced by the aura of mystery and knowledge that surrounds them, while others have offered up their lives in return for the experience.

"Queen of the Damned" was dark and romantic and truly captivated the eroticism surrounding vampires. I have collected many vampire film posters over the years but some of the newer ones have really captured my attention.

"Dracula" set the standard of seduction and mystique for the non-living. He needed the blood of mortals but needed to feel a connection to them as well. I have collected every great vampire film poster. The Vampire Chronicles, written by Anne Rice have created a whole new generation of cult and horror film buffs who appreciate great films like "Interview with the Vampire" and "Queen of the Dammed."
